J3 Point-of-Sale includes a fully automated EDI utilities package: The J3 Order Centre Module.

The Order Centre Module handles ordering, price changes, adding new inventory items, and downloading and applying invoices to the Item Master File. You can edit those changes and print new bin and price tags when required . The J3 Order Centre Module is the easiest to use, most comprehensive product of its kind on the market today.

With the thousands of inventory items most stores have to maintain, it is almost impossible to manually keep inventory information current. That is why many businesses are using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities to make vendor ordering, price changes, and invoices more streamlined and less time-consuming.

The J3 Order Centre Module is a stand-alone module that has been designed for easier use. A J3 user can enjoy the many features and spend less time accessing information when viewing and editing price changes. The file conversion from your supplier is done automatically. A user can view a list of orders, invoices or price updates from the J3 Order Centre Module.

Order Menu

The J3 Order feature allows a user to create an order date for a vendor. Once an order date is created, a order segment is created for that date. Individual order segments are created for the user to distinguish orders by department, employee, etc.

Invoice Menu

After you have transmitted an order to a vendor, the vendor will send an electronic invoice of the order. The Invoice menu allows a user to download, edit, apply, and print tags for the invoice received from the vendor.

The Invoice menu allows a user to do the following:

• Download a vendor invoice
• Edit a vendor invoice
• Apply the invoice to the Item Master File
• View the exceptions to the Invoice. (These are items that were not received for various reasons.)
• Produce bin and price tags for the ordered items
• Delete an invoice from the Vendors list
  

When you right click on and item in the J3 Order Centre, the details of that item are displayed. Item quantities can be entered by keyboard, data collector, or auto-generated. You can adjust order quantities and know how much you are going to spend before you transmit the order to your wholesaler.

We can also provide price updates for National Builders Hardware, Midwest Fasteners, Hillman, Danco, and other secondary sources of products.

Update Menu

Many vendors/manufactures change prices on inventory items. J3's EDI Document Processor allows a user to download, edit, apply and print price tags for those updates quickly and easily.

The Update menu allows a user to do the following:

• Download vendor price updates
• Edit the item updates
• Apply the item updates to the Item Master File
• View any exceptions to the update such as new UPC codes for inventory items, etc.
• Produce bin and price tags for the updates
• Delete price updates from the Vendor list
